Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 May 2026

This policy explains how Legal Autonomy Limited (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through the Legal Autonomy application form. We are the data controller for this information.

Contact: hello@legal-autonomy.co.uk

What we collect

When you submit an expression of interest, we collect: your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn URL, city, years qualified, current role, whether you have a business idea, the main thing holding you back, your self-assessed readiness score, and any optional “why now” note you choose to add.

We only collect what you provide through the form. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics that identify you individually.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your information solely to assess your application and to contact you about it – by email or phone – to discuss whether Legal Autonomy is a suitable fit.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): assessing and responding to an enquiry you have voluntarily initiated. You can object to this processing at any time (see “Your rights”).

Who can see it

Your information stays with us. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties, partners, or marketing platforms.

Our application data is stored using Vercel (our hosting and database provider), which processes it on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Vercel may store data on infrastructure inside or outside the UK; where data leaves the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep application data for 12 months from the date of submission, after which it is deleted, unless you become a member or ask us to keep it longer. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict our use of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@legal-autonomy.co.uk.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
